One of the attractive features of NFTs is being able to verify their legitimacy through blockchain.
On the Pictta app, we’ve made it simple for anyone to find and search up a transaction hash for any NFT.
To do this, look for “TX hash” under the NFT you want to validate and tap on it.
Great! You should now be redirected to the transaction hash on Flow Blockchain Explorer.
We can understand how important it is to make sure the NFTs you’re buying are authentic and the real deal. You can follow the steps below to verify an artist or collection.
Open up the page of the NFT you want to purchase.
Look for the tab “About the creator” and tap on it. In the dropdown you should see whether or not the artist is verified.
Please note: Although we try our best to ensure that no unauthentic work is minted to the Pictta app, sometimes work can get past us. It’s important to always check before making a purchase, Pictta will not be responsible for any unauthentic artwork bought on the platform.
The community is just as important as the Pictta team when it comes to reporting and taking down fraudulent content. By working together, we can ensure a safe and smooth experience when purchasing and exploring NFTs.
To report fraudulent content, scroll down to the bottom of the NFTs page and tap on “Got an issue? Report here”

What is Fair Use?
Looking at fair use as a whole, it means using copyrighted material (such as well-known characters from movies) in a transformative way. This means for uses such as commentary, criticism, education or parody.
What does Fair Use mean for NFTs?
In the context of NFTs, it is important to ask yourself these following questions before you create your NFT collections:
• Do you own the rights for all assets used in your work?
• If not, does your use of the assets relate back to fair use? (e.g. does it add a new expression, meaning or message to the original work?)
• Does your use of copyrighted work reflect negatively on the original owners of the copyrighted material?
• Do you have permission to use the copyrighted material?
• If you are modifying an existing collection, do you own the original NFT in your wallet?
Please note: Simply adding a photo filter or text to an image does not qualify as fair use. This includes disclaimers such as “not original work” or “all rights go to the original creator.”
As of currently, explicit and sensitive artwork such as adult-themed and NSFW content is not allowed on the Pictta app.
However, in future updates we will allow such content once an age verification system is in place.
Please note: Once we allow such content, Pictta holds the right to determine what content is deemed explicit or sensitive. Such content will be treated differently and it will only be available to users aged 18 years and older.
